The person behind the space
Master’s Candidate in Clinical Psychology · The Ayrem Space
A space to be heard. A moment to understand yourself. A place to begin.
Anita Karembo is a Clinical Psychologist with a Masters in Clinical Psychology and a BA in Psychology and Political Science, with a deep passion for helping people understand themselves, navigate difficult seasons, and move towards healthier, more fulfilling lives.
Her journey in psychology has given her experience across hospitals, schools, correctional settings, churches, and community mental health spaces. She has worked with adolescents, young adults, families, and individuals, including experience at Mathari National Teaching and Referral Hospital, Kenya Defence Forces Memorial Hospital, and the juvenile sector at Kamiti Maximum Prison. She has also provided psychological support through schools and mental health organizations, including We Are One.
Anita’s work extends beyond the therapy room. She has developed and facilitated programs that help teachers understand behaviour as a signal of what a young person may be experiencing beneath the surface.
At the heart of her work is a simple belief: people deserve a space where they can be heard without judgment, understood with compassion, and supported as they find their way forward. For Anita, therapy is not about having all the answers. It is about creating a safe space to begin.
The right support can change everything.
At The Ayrem Space, you’re not just working with professionals — you’re working with people who genuinely care about the work they do and the people they serve. Our team brings expertise, intentionality, and accountability to every interaction, whether you’re seeking therapy, a program, a speaking engagement, or organizational support.
We take your goals seriously, we show up fully, and we’re committed to helping you move from where you are to where you want to be.
Come as you are. Let’s do the work together.
You do not need the right words or a neatly organised story to begin. The space welcomes honest conversations, with warmth and without judgment.
Your experiences, needs, and goals shape the conversation. The work is collaborative, with room to reflect, ask questions, and explore what feels meaningful to you.
The intention is to connect what you discover about yourself with the way you live, relate to others, and respond to life beyond the conversation.
